Rhubarb is a versatile dye plant, the root of which produce various shades ranging from pinks to ochres depending on the modifier used. Rhubarb root is a substantive dye, meaning no mordant is needed to product a strong, long lasting colour.
Available in 50g packs which are sealed and resealable to ensure freshness. 50g of dried rhubarb root will dye 200g of yarn a rich ochre shade. An information sheet will be included in the package with dye recipes and colour ideas.
